Health Score

Your Health Score refers to a cluster of symptoms and health concerns that primarily affect your cardiovascular system, such as impaired handling of blood sugar, high blood pressure, excess weight, elevated lipids, and similar metabolic disturbances. A number of common environmental toxins have been shown to contribute to these problems by driving their underlying causes, including insulin resistance, inflammation, fatty liver, and mitochondrial dysfunction.

Metabolic Score

Your Metabolic Score is calculated using the information you’ve provided, and represents your metabolic health, as well as your possible exposure to toxins that may adversely affect it. The toxins most associated with metabolic risk have been included in this calculation; your report identifies which of these toxins are most likely affecting your metabolic risk. A very low score may signify that you have indicators of metabolic disease as well as high exposure to toxins, while an intermediate score may indicate either poor metabolic health and/or excessive exposure to metabolic toxins.

Key Factors:

  • Your body composition plays a crucial role in determining your metabolic health. By considering factors such as your height, weight, waist circumference, and body mass index (BMI), we can assess your body composition and identify any potential risks.

  • high blood pressure is a significant risk factor for metabolic disorders. By measuring your blood pressure, we can evaluate your cardiovascular health and identify any potential risks or imbalances that may be present.

  • Your lipid profile provides valuable information about your cardiovascular health. By analyzing your total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels, we can assess your lipid metabolism and determine if any abnormalities exist.

  • Unstable blood sugar levels can indicate metabolic dysfunction and increase the risk of developing conditions such as diabetes. By examining your fasting blood glucose levels and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, we can evaluate your blood sugar control and identify any potential risks.

  • Inflammation is a key driver of metabolic dysfunction. By measuring markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), we can assess the level of inflammation in your body and identify any potential risks or underlying conditions.

  • Hormone imbalances can significantly impact your metabolic health. By evaluating hormone levels such as insulin, cortisol, thyroid hormones, and sex hormones, we can assess your hormonal balance and identify any potential dysregulation.

  • A balanced and nutrient-dense diet is essential for optimal health. By examining your dietary patterns, nutrient intake, and potential nutrient deficiencies, we can evaluate your nutritional status and provide recommendations for dietary improvements. Asking about whole grain intake and vegetable consumption is also factoring fiber which is a great detoxifier in the body, along with key nutrients.

  • Your lifestyle choices greatly influence your metabolic health. By considering factors such as physical activity level, stress management, sleep quality, and tobacco or alcohol use, we can assess your overall lifestyle and identify areas for improvement.

  • Toxic exposures from environmental factors can impact your metabolic health dramatically. By evaluating your potential exposure to toxins such as heavy metals, pesticides, and endocrine disruptors, we can identify any risks and suggest strategies for minimizing exposure. The impact of removing these toxins can be quite impressive and very easy to do.

  • Certain genetic variations can affect your metabolic health and disease risk. By considering your genetic profile, we can identify any predispositions that may require targeted interventions or lifestyle modifications.
